Not that anyone was asking but it seems Marvel has added another high caliber actor to voice one of the essential roles for Guardians of the Galaxy and possibly the Avengers sequels. Josh Brolin has been tapped to play Thanos, the powerful god-like villain, who'll cause major repercussions in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Thanos was last seen in a post-credit cameo of The Avengers giving a surprisingly bright-tooth grin. For more background on the bad guy the original source of the scoop, Latino Review, has also provided a brief bio:
Thanos is a member of The Eternals, a group of god-like beings with immense power, far beyond that of humans. Thanos is referred to as the “Mad Titan” in the comics for attempting to wipe out the entire human race with his Infinity Gauntlet, capable of manipulating, time, space, reality and even the human soul.
Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Benicio Del Toro, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Ophelia Lovibond, Michael Rooker, and Gregg Henry. In theaters everywhere on August 1, 2014.
