Looks like Warner Bros' huge investment in the online network, Machinima, will be paying dividends when they'll release a 3-part animated Justice League series subtitled Gods and Monsters Chronicles in 2015. It will be released ahead of the Bruce Timm/Alan Burnett produced animated home release of Justice League: Gods and Monsters upon which the digital features are based on.
After dropping $18 million into Machinima, Warner Bros. along with DC Entertainment are determined to make the most of its 18-34 year old audience. This first project has both companies excited to bring some storied heroes to the digital platform. "We have been looking for a new and exciting way to tap into the company’s unmatched content,” said Machinma’s CEO Chad Gutstein. Meanwhile Diane Nelson of DC Entertainment was equally optimistic, "Justice League: Gods and Monsters is an exciting opportunity to bring alternate versions of DC Comics’ iconic Justice League characters to Machinima."
