'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Adrianne Palicki is Battle Ready in Mockingbird Tactical Suit

(Spoilers) Adrianne Palicki debuted last night on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird. However, she was undercover as a Hydra agent keeping an eye on Agent Simmons for Director Coulson. She successfully extracted Simmons when things got sideways and showed off some impressive skills using her signature batons. Yet she was not in her Mockingbird costume. You won't have to wait long though. Here's a look at the tactical suit below which is far different than her comic book designs.

Modern Costume
No white and black color scheme or bell sleeves on this suit. Instead, it’s standard issue SHIELD tactical gear like other super spies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Probably a wise choice but thankfully she still wields a mean baton. She’ll be in full Mockingbird mode in next Tuesday's episode.
Classic Costume
"Bobbi Morse is a well-seasoned spy whose ability to slip in and out of undercover situations seamlessly will prove invaluable to our team," said "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Executive Producer, Jed Whedon. "But her appearance comes as a gut-punch to Hunter, as the history they share is complicated to say the least."

WONDER WOMAN OF THE DAY: Fitness Model Gia Macool Embodies the Amazon Princess

The closest we'll ever get, probably, to superheroes in real life is through the great work of cosplayers. You see them at every pop culture convention from the very basic to extremely elaborate costume design. However, you don't have to be a cosplayer to enjoy dressing up as your favorite superhero from time to time. Take fitness model and entrepreneur Gia Macool for example. An accomplished fitness competitor and model, Macool is also a big fan of DC Comics' Wonder Woman. She shows her love of the iconic Amazon Princess in her fitness wear, meal prep accessories and even a full blown photo shoot in a Wonder Woman costume.

For decades comics have featured very muscular superheroes, male and female, epitomizing the human form at its strongest. So when bodybuilders and fitness pros decide to suit up as these costumed heroes, they are the embodiment of those fictional characters in the flesh. Macool looks like she stepped out of the pages of a Wonder Woman comic with a suit …

Barbarella has been lied to. Worse, she’s been weaponized, and someone’s going to answer for that, for sure. (Well, assuming she survives the judgment of the Esseverine sun-giants, and an armada of a thousand ships...)
