COMIC BOOK DAY: Notable New Releases 11/19

new comics 11/19 by Slidely Slideshow

This week's comic book offerings include some of the best horror stories in the business - Goners #2, Criminal Macabre: The Third Child #3, and Afterlife with Archie Magazine #2. Each with their own spin on suspense and gore. There's never been a greater time to be a fan of supernatural storytelling.

Meredith and David Finch take over Wonder Woman this week in issue #36. After the incredible run of Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang to reboot the Amazon warrior for the New 52 the Finchs have large shoes to fill. The veteran creators should be up to the task.

Harley Quinn #12 continues to dominate the sales chart for DC Comics while Ray Fawkes debuts Intersect #1, Michael Avon Oeming releases Sinergy #1 for Image and Dennis Hopeless unleashes Spider-Woman #1 for Marvel.

As far as trades go, Greg Rucka's Lazarus The First Collection covers the first 9 issues of the acclaimed series in a hardcover edition. Jeff Lemire reinvents the Teen Titans in the highly anticipated Earth One Teen Titans Volume One.

Happy reading!

'Infidel' #1 by Pornsak Pichetshote and Aaron Campbell arrives at a time when the horrors of everyday life for marginalized people is scary enough but add misogyny and xenophobia from demons and well, that's just multi-dimensional haterade.
