Jungle Jim #2 picks up where the debut left off with Lille and the gang finding the legendary immortal jungle mage buck naked. Whereas the first issue thrived on the strength of all the characters not named Jungle Jim, issue two is all about the fast-talking, arrogant, and overly confident animal-whisperer. It's one of the most enjoyable comics of the year.

The last ten minutes of last week's episode, Out of Time, dropped some major show-altering bombs only to be undone by Barry's sudden time warp to the beginning. With The Flash starting as the last episode began Barry has the chance to save Central City from a humongous tidal wave and finally make Iris his with the knowledge he learned before the time rip. As expected, things don't go as planned especially when the rogues hit town.
When Goners launched the creators hoped to bring a fun and suspenseful adventure influenced by their of love of horror and fantasy. At issue six, they've not only met their goals but surpassed any expectations in making Goners a bonafide thrilling supernatural series. The first arc wraps up in a crescendo of action which has been the series staple from issue one. A frenetic joyride with more twists than a pretzel.

And the art is the best thing about Red One #1 by writer Xavier Dorison. This quirky Cold War era spy tale has the framework to be an exceptional book, but the narrative and details need work.
