REVIEW: 'Exit Generation' #2 by Sam Read and Caio Oliveira

★★★★☆ (4/5)
Contrary to popular belief, a comic doesn't have to be technically perfect to be considered good or great. 'Exit Generation' #2 is an enormously fun read that takes chances with things like plausibility, coincidence, and plot devices but the pacing and characters drive the action. Jack and Mo find the help they were looking for in order to try and rescue their loved ones from the clutches of a human-eating alien race named the Ruleians.

Despite a valiant social media campaign, the show was officially dead. Thankfully, Constantine is back to save Sara's soul.

The Flash Review (S2E4): "The Fury Of The Firestorm"

★★★★☆ (4/5)
Yes, Tuesday's episode of 'The Flash' was used as the origin story of Jax Jackson (Franz Drameh) as Ronnie Raymond's replacement and the stabilizing force that saves Martin Stein's life.  Yes, that storyline was predictable right down to the rejected candidate Henry Hewitt (Demore Barnes) becoming a baddie, Tokamak, a play from the character in the comics. Yet, the elements that relate to this season's main storyline made it all worth it especially if you know the comic book mythology and saw that ending.

REVIEW: 'Black Magick' #1 by Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott

★★★1/2 (3.5/5)
'Black Magick' #1 is the nice, cordial coffee date that was pleasant but didn't lead to a night cap at their place and the walk of shame in the morning. We're introduced to Detective Rowan Black who's also a witch and during a hostage situation her two worlds collide and the mystery begins. The art is fantastic, but the story reads more like an outline than something you can sink your teeth into.

REVIEW: 'The Black Hood' #6 by Duane Swierczynski and Howard Chaykin

★★★★☆ (4/5)

REVIEW: 'The Showdown, Vol 1' by Russ Lippitt and Tony Guaraldi-Brown

★★★★☆ (4/5)
Just in time for Halloween, Russ Lippitt and Tony Guaraldi-Brown are bringing their successful kickstarted graphic novel, The Showdown, Vol. 1 to the masses. 'The Flash' Star Danielle Panabaker Discusses Her Killer Frost Tease with 'The Talk'

You might remember that during the season one finale of 'The Flash,' we got a glimpse of Danielle Panabaker who plays Caitlin Snow as her comic book alter ego, the evil supervillain Killer Frost. It's been a topic of discussion since the debut of the show as to when will we see the infamous rogue. Well, we still don't know but considering that season two is knee deep in alternate earth talk, could a Snow doppelganger be in the mix?

REVIEW: 'Supergirl' Soars with Enthusiasm and Action

★★★★★ (5/5)
It's hard to believe it's taken this long to see a superheroine on network television but it's finally happened and it's good. CBS's 'Supergirl' comes from Greg Berlanti who's helped bring the golden age of comic book television with Arrow and The Flash on the CW. However, there isn't a more important or ambitious venture than bringing Superman's cousin to the ratings network leader. Luckily, Melissa Benoist handles it all with class, passion and enthusiasm.

The Flash Review (S2E3): "Family Of Rogues"

★★★★★ (5/5)
'Family Rogues' brings 'The Flash' back to their sweet spot of telling an engrossing main story with intriguing subplots. It's a family affair when Papa Snart (Micheal Ironside) returns to Central City to go on a crime spree with his boy Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).

REVIEW: 'Princeless: Raven, the Pirate Princess' #4 by Jeremy Whitley, Rosy Higgins and Ted Brandt

★★★★☆ (4/5)
'Princeless: Raven, the Pirate Princess' #4 is the prelude to some high sea adventure but first Raven and her crew have to make it out of town in one piece. Cookie and Jayla are held up in the tavern with a mob at the door looking for the "witch" and it's up to Ximena to save the day. There's a good amount of action and ingenuity, but it's the emotional ties that are the glue of the story.

REVIEW: 'The Shield' #1 by Christopher, Wendig, Johnson, Deering, & Fitzpatrick

★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Dark Circle Comics has been slowly rolling out new reimagined titles with great results. 'The Black Hood' is a grounded gritty vigilante tale and 'The Fox' is a whimsical fun take on superheroes. However, every publisher needs a flagship book. A character that defines a company's place in the market. DC Comics has 'Batman.' Marvel has 'Spider-man.' For Archie Comics' imprint, that defining hero could be 'The Shield.'

REVIEW: 'Swords of Sorrow' #6 (of 6) by Gail Simone and Sergio Davila

★★★★☆ (4/5)
This is the end. The conclusion of Gail Simone's huge crossover event, 'Swords of Sorrow,' with the giant battle taking place in the main series. It's not perfect (no event this size ever is) but issue six elegantly displays the heart, grit and sheer determination of Dynamite's great catalog of strong heroines fighting to the end.
