Star Wars fan films are nothing new but very few are as polished and professional as Joe Sill's "Kara," an unofficial Star Wars film. It feels like an extension of 'The Force Awakens' as we follow a girl and her father in the desert as they witness a firefight in the sky. An X-Wing fighter crash lands as a group of sandtroopers descend upong them all.
I suppose technically it's a fan film but the production values and special effects call out a professionally made short film. It's exciting, intriguing and even a little emotional. When was the last time you said that about a fan film? I'd pay to see the next installment. It's that good. See it now.
