PREORDER: 'Renato Jones: The One %' by Kaare Kyle Andrews

Critically-acclaimed writer/artist/director Kaare Kyle Andrews (Spider-Man: Reign, Iron Fist: The Living Weapon) takes creator-owned storytelling to the next level with his supercharged capitalist action thriller RENATO JONES: THE ONE %, first announced at Image Expo and launching from Image Comics this May.

"It doesn't matter how much of the work you do; writing, drawing, coloring… You can only grab onto someone else's characters for so long... but ultimately they're not yours. You're a visitor. I once said that I wanted to be more than a part of the machine, that I wanted to become the machine itself,” said Andrews, echoing the sentiments shared on stage at Image Expo when the project was first announced. “But the only way to do that is to build from the ground up. Control it. Own it. Truly BECOME THE MACHINE."

In RENATO JONES: THE ONE %, society’s upper one percent own more than half the world’s wealth. They’ve crashed economies, bought governments, and amassed more power than any other group in history. And they still don’t have enough. With this kind of power how can anyone make them pay? WHO will make them pay? Enter Renato Jones, a mysterious vigilante out to even the score. And when he enters the fray THE SUPER-RICH ARE SUPER F***ED.

Andrews added: "Batman was a billionaire kid who watched his billionaire parents die at the hands of a poor street thug trying to keep his family alive. Batman didn't declare war against crime, he declared war against the impoverished. The world today doesn't need Batman. The jails are over-run with the poor. The true criminals, the ones that aren't prosecuted... are protected by money and position. They bankrupt our country, take our jobs, take our homes, kill hope and compassion. And profit from all of it. Today's world needs someone who can make THEM pay. The ONEs. Today's world needs RENATO JONES... It's not Revenge. It's Restitution."

RENATO JONES: THE ONE % #1 (Diamond Code MAR160509) will hit comic book stores on Wednesday, May 4th. The final order cutoff deadline for comic book retailers is Monday, April 11th.

ADVANCE REVIEW: 'Winnebago Graveyard' #1 by Steve Niles, Alison Sampson, and Stéphane Paitreau

Steve Niles and Alison Sampson have arrived to disrupt your bedtime. What happens when an American family traveling on vacation finds themselves stranded in a small town with a sinister secret? The answer is a whole lot of creepy.

Niles wastes no time in setting the tone of  this limited horror series 'Winnebago Graveyard.' A couple is abducted by people in hooded robes and are sacrificed during some kind of satanic ceremony that gives birth to something I can't explain here. You'll have to see it for yourselves. Then we're introduced to our protagonists, the dysfunctional family traveling via the titular Winnebago. They make the same mistake every person in a horror does, they stay at the creepiest locations instead …

REVIEW: 'Samaritan: Veritas' #1 by Matt Hawkins, Atilio Rojo, and Troy Peteri

Born out of The Tithe, 'Samaritan: Veritas,' takes on a whole new target as hacker Samantha Copeland is on the run and looking for revenge. It's a thrilling new chapter from Top Cow's Edenverse written by Matt Hawkins with art from Atilio Rojo.

The Tithe found Samaritan taking on nefarious mega-churches and this time the only things more corrupt are the U.S. government and military contractors. The President is in Samantha's crosshairs but she's also a hunted woman using all her hacking skills and the resources of the dark web to counter her pursuers. It's this complex cat-and-mouse game that Hawkins unfolds while also providing Samantha's background for new readers. Hawkins does a delicate balancing act adding exposition with flashbacks while moving the story forward in the prese…

Many a teenage garage band began with just a bunch of buddies hanging out, messing around with instruments tying to craft a song or two, not sure if it'll lead to anything. Fans of Archie Comics already know it does lead to something but how did it all come together? Segura and Rosenberg lay out this funny and sweet origin story with that very premise. The writers…

REVIEW: 'Romulus' #4 by Bryan Hill, Nelson Blake II, and Kevin Lennertz

Ashlar finds herself in the belly of the beast. She's got to go through Achilles to try and rescue Nicholas from the clutches of the leader of The Order of Romulus. Will the end of this story arc be the end of Ashlar?
